Our mission is to glorify God through worship,
discipleship training, fellowship, prayer and ministry to our church
family, and to share the gospel through active participation in and
support of local, state and world missions.
A Word From Our Pastor

Welcome to our website. We are grateful for this
opportunity to introduce you to Baptist Chapel Church. We are a
Southern Baptist congregation located in Sampson County. Baptist
Chapel offers a wide range of ministries and activities for all
ages, including Sunday School, Worship, Children’s Church, WMU,
Brotherhood, Youth and Children’s ministry, and an excellent music
program. We are actively engaged in missions through our local
association and state and national conventions. We also are one of
ten local churches which sponsor the Mingo Baptist Spanish Mission
here in Sampson County.
 Jesus Christ is at the very
heart of who we are as a church. It is His love that compels us to
share the gospel message personally with our friends and neighbors
in our community and, through the ministries of the Cooperative
Program of our Southern Baptist Convention, with individuals
throughout the world. It is His love, too, which motivates the
loving and caring relationships that characterizes our worship, our
fellowship and our service to Christ. We love him, because he
first loved us. (I John 4:19)
A second important characteristic that describes who we
are as a church is our strong commitment to the Word of God. Serving
as our guide to faith and practice, the Bible is the authority and
direction for all the ministries and programs of Baptist Chapel. In
worship, in Sunday School, and in our Sunday night Bible Study, we
focus upon God's Word and His message for our lives individually and
corporately. All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and
is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for
instruction in righteousness. (II Timothy 3:16)
